Amazons Select Paradis With First Pick The Los Angeles Amazons selected pitcher Vanessa Paradis of France with their first pick (5th overall) of the inaugural Venus Baseball League draft. The 32 year old right hander will anchor the Amazon rotation. "The thing we like most about Paradis is her ability to eat up a lot of innings," said Manager Jane Fonda, "she also possesses three strong pitches in her fastball, slider, and change up."
