Diamonds Select Dawson With First Pick The Dallas Diamonds selected shortstop Rosario Dawson of New York, NY with the 16th pick of the first round of the inaugural Venus Baseball League draft. The 25 year old right handed hitter is one of the best young players in the draft. "We feel that Dawson is someone who we can build our team around," said Manager Anne Archer.
