Shamrocks Select Farr With First Pick The Boston Shamrocks selected 1B Diane Farr of Brooklyn, NY with their first pick (12th overall) of the inaugural Venus Baseball League draft. The 39 year old, switch-hitting slugger has tremendous power and should be one of the most feared hitters in the VBL. "I don't think that there is any pitcher in the league that will enjoy the sight of Farr stepping to the plate," said Manager Lindsay Wagner. "She just hammers the ball all day long."
