Valkyries Select Jeffers With First Pick The Colorado Valkyries selected pitcher Eve Jeffers of Philadelphia, PA with the first pick of the inaugural Venus Baseball League draft. The 26 year old right hander will anchor the Valkyries rotation. "Jeffers will be a dominant force on the mound," said Manager Michelle Pfeiffer. "She possesses three strong pitches in her fastball, slider, and change up."
